Create A Brighter Future - ''Let There Be LED Light'' Bulb Exchange Program
2017 / 06 / 29
In advocate to the Fluorescent Lamp Recycling Program of the Environmental Protection Department, Future Lighting cohosted a CFL Recycling Program with Social Enterprise Research Institute, Philips Hong Kong, and WGO this summer. Successfully registered participants could use an old CFL Bulb in exchange for a Philips LED Light Bulb. The program is divided into several phases and 5000 Philips LED Light Bulbs would be given out. Nobel Prize Winner, Prof. Shuji Nakamura, who is being famed for inventing the efficient blue light-emitting diodes, also expressed full support towards the recycle program. Save our planet by joining our recycling scheme. Please refer to our Facebook Page for any further details.
** All CFL Bulbs collected would be handled by Chemical Waste Treatment Centre as they contained mercury. This could potentially reduce the environmental threat brought by improper disposal of CFL Bulbs.
